Beyonce arrasó en la entrega de los Grammy


La reina del rythm and blues se alzó anoche con seis premios. En tanto, los hermanos puertorriqueños de "Calle 13" ganaron el galardón al mejor álbum de rock latino, alternativo por su disco "Los de atrás vienen conmigo". Hubo un homenaje a Michael Jackson.


"Calle 13" se impuso a "La luz del ritmo", de los argentinos Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, "Río", de los colombianos Aterciopelados, "Y.", de la española Bebe, y "La revolución" del dúo de reggaeton puertorriqueño Wisin Y Yandel.


Beyoncé ganó incluso el premio a la canción del año por "Single Lady", aunque el galardón más codiciado de la noche, el de álbum del año, fue para la joven cantante de country Taylor Swift, por "Fearless", según reportó la agencia DPA.


De esta forma, Swift logró destronar en esta categoría a Beyoncé por "I am...Sasha Fierce", a Lady Gaga con "The Fame", a la Dave Matthews Band con "Big Whiskey And The Groogrux King" y a The Black Eyed Peas por "The E.N.D.".


"Vamos a contar esta historia hasta que tengamos 80 años", dijo Swift, de 20 años, al recibir el premio. "Una y otra vez.


Vamos a cansar a nuestros nietos contándoles que en 2010 ganamos el Grammy al álbum del año. Muchas, muchas gracias".


Swift también ganó el premio al mejor álbum country y se hizo de otros dos premios con la canción "White Horse", el Grammy a la mejor grabación de una cantante country y otro por la canción country del año.


Así y todo, Beyoncé cosechó la mayor cantidad de premios: el hit "Single Lady" también le valió a la cantante estadounidense de 28 años los Grammys a la mejor canción de R&B y mejor vocalista femenina de R&B en la entrega realizada en el Staples Center de Los Angeles.


Además, Beyoncé, que partió a los Grammy como favorita con diez nominaciones, logró que su álbum "I Am...Sasha Fierce" se quedara con el premio de mejor álbum de R&B contemporáneo y fue distinguida con el premio a la mejor actuación tradicional de R&B por el tema "At Last" del filme "Cadillac Records".


El sexto Grammy fue gracias a su canción "Halo" del álbum "I am...Sasha Fierce", que le valió la distinción a la mejor grabación de una cantante pop. "Esta es una noche increíble para mí", afirmó emocionada sobre el escenario. Agradeció no sólo a sus seguidores, sino sobre todo a su esposo, el rapero Jay-Z.


El premio al mejor álbum latino pop fue para "Sin frenos" de los españoles de La quinta estación, categoría en la que también competía "5to piso", de Ricardo Arjona, "Te acuerdas", de Francisco Céspedes, "Hu hu hu", de Natalia Lafourcade y "Gran city pop" de Paulina Rubio, mientras que en la categoría de mejor álbum de latin jazz ganó "Juntos para siempre", de Bebo y Chucho Valdés.


En tanto, los roqueros de Kings of Leon se quedaron con el Grammy a la mejor grabación del año por la canción "Use Somebody".


Los "The Black Eyed Peas" se hicieron con tres Grammys, entre ellos el de mejor álbum pop por "The E.N.D". En tanto, "Twentyfirst Century Breakdown", de Green Day, ganó el premio al mejor álbum de rock.


Los seis cantantes country de la Zac Brown Band lograron ser la revelación del año, mientras que el dúo pop británico The Ting Tings ("That's Not My Name") se quedó con las manos vacías en la misma categoría.


La nueva estrella del pop, Lady Gaga, que abrió la gala con su hit "Poker Face" enfundada en un traje verde brillante y que terminó sentada al piano junto a Elton John, ganó los Grammy a la mejor grabación dance por "Poker face" y al mejor álbum dance/electrónico por "The Fame".


Durante la velada hubo, asimismo, un homenaje al "rey del pop", Michael Jackson. A siete meses de su muerte, se proyectó sobre el escenario un videoclip del tema "Earth Song" de Jackson con tecnología 3D que el cantante había preparado para la serie de conciertos "This Is It" que iba a realizar en Londres y que se vieron frustrados por su muerte.


A la voz de Jackson se sumaron, cantando en vivo sobre el escenario, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson y Smokey Robinson.


También hubo un segmento dedicado a las víctimas del terremoto en Haití: la cantante de R&B Mary J. Blige y el tenor italiano Andrea Bocelli cantaron juntos "Puente sobre aguas turbulentas", de Simon and Garfunkel, a beneficio de los damnificados.


El disco "Ciclos", de Luis Enrique, fue distinguido como mejor álbum tropical latino y "Necesito de tí", de Vicente Fernández, como mejor álbum regional mexicano.


Los Tigres del Norte se alzaron con el Grammy al mejor álbum norteño con "Tu noche con...Los Tigres del Norte" y Los Texmaniacs con el Grammy al mejor álbum tejano por "Borders Y Bailes".


Los Grammy, que tienen la forma de un gramófono dorado, son los premios más importantes de la industria musical estadounidense. Son entregados en 109 categorías de los géneros rock, pop, folk, jazz y música clásica.
